Parking is an issue for the pub. There is no street parking, and whilst they have a good carpark, they do want to keep space available for other diners. So we have been asked to double park / block park in their carpark as much as possible. Please do all you can to make this happen.
We have got a room set aside for us.
There is no need to order food if you do not want to eat. But this pub does have a good reputation for food, some say it is one of the best gastropubs in Berkshire. They are OK with us ordering off the Lunch menu as they understand that after a long run you may not want a large meal. If you want to order food, drop the hare a message or get there early on the night and get your order in as soon as possible.
The George & Dragon has a good range of Siren Craft beers on tap. As the brewery is in the next village, it is all nice and fresh.
Out on the trail we will be running off piste some of the time, and there is a herd of frisky young cattle in some of the fields. No problem, unless you get them moving around at speed, so If you are bringing a dog, then best keep it under control.
The trail will be of a length that should get us back to the pub before it is pitch dark, provided we get away on time at 7.00pm. There are no street lights, so best be prepared and bring a torch.
